A 2023 Grant for All Schools

This grant will bring Adam Booth, an Appalachian storyteller, to all partnering schools to present assemblies and facilitate storytelling and performance workshops. Each school will receive assemblies for each grade level, and additional workshops for 4th grade and selected middle and high school groups. Adam will help students explore the shared experience of what it means to be from Shenandoah or Appalachia, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and unique perspectives that make up the region. By connecting students to their roots and fostering a sense of belonging, they will be inspired to take pride in their own stories while appreciating the collective narrative that binds them all together.
